Overview:

This article will help you to clone existing URL Categorization policies and make modifications as required in Seqrite UTM.

On the UTM appliance, you can now clone existing policies and make modifications as required. This saves on the time and effort required if you already have any policies that just require few changes to be applied as another policy. Usually, on the master UTM appliance, the policy edit/delete option would be restricted. If, however, the admin wants a similar policy configuration with a slight change, then the admin can use the clone option.

Applicable Versions: UTMv2.5 and above

Steps:

1. Logon to the UTM appliance.

2. Navigate to Policy and the required policy category. The list for that category is displayed.

3. Click and select the policy type that you want to clone. For. eg. test1 policy in the URL Categorization category.

4. Click the clone icon (highlighted in red). The policy with all current settings is displayed.

5. Enter the name for the new policy.

6. Make the changes to the policy as required.

7. Click Save. The changes are saved and the new policy is displayed in the list for that category.
