How to configure Application Control policy on EPS Clients

Overview: 

This document describes the Application control configuration to avoid the installation of an illegal or unnecessary application being installed on the system.

Applicable Version: All

Configuration Steps:

1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web Console.

2. Click on Clients Tab.

3. Click on Manage Policy Tab.

4. Open the policy and click on Application Control Tab.

5. To block access to an application, select the Block unauthorized application when accessed checkbox.

6. Select either Authorized or Unauthorized to each application category as per your requirement.

7. You can also customize the setting to the application category by clicking the Custom button.

8. You can also add an application that is not included in the default application categories by clicking on custom applications

9. Click Add Application, This feature allows you to add a new application to the default list. Adding and unauthorizing an application or file that belongs to the operating system or other system-specific aspects may cause system malfunction. Hence, it is advised to add an application that is not a part of an operating system or other system-related programs.

10. To add an application either provided a process name or path of the application executable file.

11. Select the application category and click on add application.

12. To save your settings click to save the policy.
