How to configure network location to store CFRbackup in EPS

This article helps you to configure network path location to store backup data in Seqrite Endpoint Security (EPS).

Backup Data feature automatically and periodically (multiple times a day) takes a backup of all your important and confidential files present on the endpoint. If you update any file, then this feature automatically takes a backup of the latest copy.
You can store your data backup of all machines on a particular system in the network and at no point, this data is either shared or transferred to Seqrite or other cloud. 

Here how can you configure the location is explained.

Note: Seqrite have provided a backup feature with EPS. However, Seqrite recommend that you take additional backups regularly using third-party software. Disable this feature if you have any other provision for data backup (Example: File server backup, Data backup server, etc.)

Applicable Versions: Seqrite Endpoint Security 7.6 and above

Configuring network path location

To configure network path location, follow these steps:
1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.
2. Go to Settings > Client Settings > General Settings.

3. Select Network Path Location option.
4. Enter the Network Path Location in the text box.
5. Enter Username and Password of the Network system.

6. Click Test to verify the location is accessible with provided credentials.
The success message appears after network connection is successful.

7. To save your setting, click Save Policy.
Backup data will be stored at the network path location by Computer Name of the machine.
: If you change credential of the network path, update the latest credentials for seamless data backup.
