Overview:

This article describes the information of the new update for Windows 10 PCs, called “Windows 10 October 2020 Update (Build version 20H2)” introduced by the "MICROSOFT".

This article also describes the compatibility of the new update for Windows 10 PCs with the “Seqrite Endpoint Security Versions”.

Applicable Versions: EPS version 7.2 and above.

Highlights of Windows 10 October 2020 Update:

1. Personalized layout for users — cleaner, and less cluttered taskbar experience.
2. Advanced display settings with ‘refresh’ rate.
3. In-built Chromium version of Microsoft Edge in the updated operating system.
4. Defaulted automatic Tablet Mode Switching.

Supported Seqrite Endpoint Security Versions:

1. For Existing Users of the EPS Version 7.2 and later.
2. For New Users the EPS Version 7.2 and later.

1. For Existing Users of the EPS Version 7.2 and later:

• Users of the Seqrite Endpoint Security Version 7.2 or later must take the latest Seqrite Updates first.
• Restart the Windows 10 endpoint.
• Update the Windows 10 endpoint to Windows 10 20H2.


2. For New Users the EPS Version 7.2 and later (Fresh Install):

• Fresh installation of the Seqrite Endpoint Security Version 7.2 and later is compatible with Windows 10 October 2020 Update (Windows 10 20H2).



Most Important Note:

• To apply the latest Seqrite update automatically, enable “Automatic Update” for the EPS client under “Policy Settings”.

• If the Seqrite Endpoint Security Client’s Virus Database Date is the latest, it means it is compatible with the mentioned update i.e Windows 10 20H2.

• Fresh installation of Seqrite Endpoint Security 7.1 and earlier version is "Not supported" for Windows 10 October 2020 update (Windows 10 20H2).
