Overview: Microsoft has released all-new Windows 11 23H2 Operating System (OS). There are no functional issues. You may need to take some of the following actions as per your requirement.

Description:

Following are the details on compatibility with Windows 11 23H2 OS.

1. Patch Management Server fails to install on Windows 11 23H2.
While installing Patch Management server, it gets fail without proper error.

Workaround:
Using below manual steps, we can able to install the Patch Server on Windows 11 23H2:

1. Using orca utility, modify the patch server msi setup (pmsetup64.msi) to unchecked the action to install the vc_redist 2008 setup.

2. Launch the modified patch server setup. This modified setup will skip vc redist setup installation and will start showing wizards to get all required inputs including install location:

3. Before starting actual installation, create the mentioned install location path if not exist and copy below 64-bit C++ runtime libraries/files

- Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest

- Microsoft.VC90.MFC.manifest

- sporder.dll

4. Once C++ runtime libraries copied, start the installation.
