Unable to ping system in the network after installing Quick Heal Anti-Virus.


Description: 

This document would help you to configure the settings where unable to ping system in the network after installing the Quick Heal Anti-Virus.

Applicable Versions: Server edition AV 16.00, 17.00, 18.00


Steps to resolve the issue:

1. Open Quick Heal Software dashboard-> Click on Internet & Network.

2. Click on Firewall Protection.

3. Click on Configure option of “Advanced settings”.


4. By default setting is as below:


Network Profile can be Work/Public etc.
In this case, Network Profile is Public & by default setting is as:
Stealth Mode is ON.
File & Printer Sharing is OFF.

5. Make stealth Mode as OFF and File & Printer Sharing ON for available Network Profile. 


Note: Check options: Display Alert messages and Create Reports to generate alert messages and create reports.

6. Click on Traffic Rules -> Select ICMP -> Double click on ICMP.


7. Select ICMP and Click on Next.

8. Select Any IP address & click on next.

9. By default setting is as below:

10. Check In and Out traffic option, Click on Finish.

11. Click on OK.

12. Click on Save Changes.

13. Hence, you can ping the systems in the network.
