External KBA | EPS 7.6 Migration process

Overview :  In this article we will guide you through the step-by-step process to migrate EPS 7.6 data to EPS cloud.

Applicable EPS Versions :    Seqrite Endpoint Security version 7.6

Applicable client OS : Windows

Note :

  • Only Groups and clients can be migrated to EPS cloud. Migration of EPS Users, Policies, Admin Settings, and reports are not supported.
  • The Default client on the EPS Server will not be migrated to EPS Cloud.
  • Maximum number of groups to be imported is 999.
  • Migration page remains active for only 60 days from the activation date of Migration feature.

Procedure :

Part 1 : Import Groups and Clients to EPS Cloud

1)   Login to HawkkEye console using below mentioned link.


2) On HawkkEye console click “Endpoint Security” on left pane.

3) You will be landed to Endpoint Security console dashboard. Click “deployment” under “computer” section on left menu > Then “click Eps7.6 migration” tab.

4) Click the “Export Tool” button.

5)  Export tool is downloaded > Execute the Export Tool on the EPS 7.6 server.

6) ‘Do you want to change export location? [y/n]’, question appears.

7) Export.zip file exported at the set path.

8) Go to EPS Cloud console > Deployment > EPS 7.6 Migration page and Click the ”Import Data” button.

9) The Import Data dialog appears. By default, the Client and Groups check boxes are selected, so all clients and groups are imported. If you don’t want to import groups, clear the Groups check box.
    Click Browse to Import "Export.zip" file.

Click Import.

10) The success message appears.

Part 2: Migrate clients.

1) On EPS 7.6 Migration page, click the Client Migration Tool button.

2) The Client Migration Tool, migrate.zip is downloaded.
   Extract the zipped file on the EPS 7.6 server. The extracted folder contains clagnt.dat and acsvpack.exe files.

3) Execute acsvpack.exe on the EPS 7.6 server. 

This will apply Service pack on the endpoints.

4) Restart endpoints when the restart prompt will appear on the endpoints You will receive 2 restart prompts during migration process in case you have not rebooted the system after EPS 7.6 client installation.
