Overview: This article describes how to allow the user to permanently decrypt an entire volume which is initially encrypted. For these encrypted volumes, the software transparently decrypts the data from the volume.


Applicable Versions:

Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 32 and 64 bit (Max version support build 2009)

Windows server 2008, 2012 and 2016, 2019 64 bit (Max version support build 1903)

Please follow the below steps:

To decrypt the volume, follow these steps:

1. Open Seqrite Volume Encryption as administrator.

2. On the dashboard, select the volume.

On the menu, click Volume > Decrypt Volume.

4. The following dialog box appears:

4. Click Yes.

5. Enter the password and click OK.

6. After the decryption process is completed, a success message is displayed.
When the volume is decrypted, the color of volume header on SVE changes to blue.
