How to install Seqrite Endpoint Security Clients 7.60 on Linux-based Endpoints?

Overview:

This article describes the installation of SEPS clients 7.60 on Linux-based endpoints.

Applicable versions: EPS 7.60

Steps:

1. Download the Installation Package according to your endpoint’s configuration:

For the 32-bit Linux Endpoint, download the ‘epslin32.tar.gz’ file from one of the following links:

Server 1

Server 2

For the 64-bit Linux Endpoint, download the epslin64.tar.gz file from one of the following links:

Server 1

Server 2

NOTE:
The given links are to download the Linux client build for the version EPS 7.6.

The Client packager will provide the Linux client build links with respect to the EPS version in the option"Download Tar file from below link for Linux".

2. Create the Client Packager (Follow the configuration steps of below wizard).

3. Download the client setup file by given links, and find the downloaded set up in the “Downloads” folder.

4. Browse the downloaded setup path into the client packager option and click on the “Create” button.

NOTE: Client packager will be created in the following location:

Seqrite\Endpoint Security 7.60\Admin\web\build\epslin32\LINUXCLAG32.TAR

Seqrite\Endpoint Security 7.60\Admin\web\build\epslin64\LINUXCLAG64.TAR

5. Copy the Client Packager on the Linux endpoint system (On Desktop).

6. Extract the Client packager.

7. Navigate to the extracted directory.

8. Apply permission to the extracted directory/folder.

Eg: Chmod 777 folder/directory name

NOTE: If you are not login using “Sudo user” or “root user” then you have to give permission on the extracted “Linux Setup” by using the following directory on the Terminal.

9. Type the command “./install” from the extracted directory to execute the installation script of Seqrite Client.

NOTE: The steps will help to deploy the Client Anti-virus 7.60 on 32 bit as well as on 64-bit LINUX based OS.

10. After the successful installation of SEPS Client 7.60 Anti-virus, execute the command “./QHAVCLI” from the installation directory “/usr/lib/Seqrite/Seqrite“ to view the status of installed Seqrite Client.

NOTE: Anti-Virus icon can be checked/ viewed by 2 possible ways:

a. An Anti-Virus icon can be found in the taskbar in a GUI mode.

b. Anti-Virus can be viewed in a terminal with the help of the command “./QHAVCLI”, in the directory “/usr/lib/Seqrite/Seqrite” i.e in a CLI mode.

11. In this way, we can install SEPS client Anti-Virus 7.60 on Linux based OS.

NOTE:

Seqrite clients 7.60 need to be manually installed by the "Administrator" on Linux endpoints.
