Deployment

From the Deployment section, there are following options available for you to deploy the Seqrite Universal Agents for Seqrite ZTNA, Seqrite Data Privacy, Seqrite XDR, Seqrite EDR or Seqrite EPP as required:

Note: For EPP deployment, this is applicable only for the customers onboarded to Seqrite Endpoint Protection (EPP) 6.5 onwards. For tenants onboarded on earlier versions, please refer to the EPP Deployment section .

Remote Installer

From the Deployment Page, you can install the Seqrite Universal Agents remotely. To install follow these steps,

  1. Under the Remote Installer tab, select the products for remote installation. You can select either Zero Trust, Data Privacy, XDR/EDR or Endpoint Protection, as required.
  2. Select the operating system to get the installer. The following two installer options are available.
    • Windows

      It provides the installer only for Windows. To do the Remote Installation on multiple Windows endpoints, follow these steps,

      1. Download the Remote Installer tool by clicking Download.
      2. Run the Remote Installer tool.
      3. You can initiate remote installation in one of the following ways,
        • Add endpoints by selecting from the list – Click Add to add endpoints.
        • Add by IP Address – Enter the IP Address or IP Address Range.
      4. In the Add User dialog, type the User Name and Password with Administrator privilege.
      5. Click Finish to add all selected endpoints to the installation list.
      6. Click Install to initiate installation.
    • All

      It provides the installer for Windows, Linux, and MAC. To do remote Installation on endpoints of all the supported operating systems, follow these steps,

      1. Download Remote Installer tool by clicking Download.
      2. Run Remote Installer tool.
      3. You can initiate remote installation in one of the following ways,
        • Add endpoints by selecting from the list – Click Add to add endpoints.
        • Add by IP Address – Enter the IP Address or IP Address Range.
      4. In the Add User dialog, type the User Name and Password with Administrator privilege.

Online Installer

The Online Installer tab allows you to download an installer package for deploying supported Seqrite products on endpoint devices.

To download an installer package for Endpoint Protection, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Seqrite CSM portal.
  2. Navigate to Endpoint Protection > Deployment.
  3. Click the Online Installer tab.
  4. Click the Create Client Installer button to create the client installer.
  5. In the Create Client Installer window that opens, enter the required information in the Create Installer, Proxy Settings, Set Password tabs.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Navigate back to CSM.
  8. It reflects in the drop-down box Endpoint Protection Installer to Download.
  9. Select it and click Download.

The selected installer package is downloaded to your system and can be used to install the product on endpoint devices.

Note:

  • Ensure that the appropriate policy and proxy settings are configured for the endpoints to receive updates after installation.
  • Mac and Linux endpoints can be deployed only using the Remote Installer or Online Installer options.

Active Directory

The Active Directory tab helps you to download Active Directory Tool. With Active Directory Tool you can synchronize the group with active directory organizational unit (OU)/container/computer. After synchronization, the clients will be installed on all the endpoints of your domain network. A periodic check is carried out to find if any new endpoint is added to your network. When a new endpoint is added, the client gets automatically installed on that endpoint.

You can also exclude certain endpoints from the group so that the client is not installed on these endpoints.

Note:

  • This installation method is available only with Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • To synchronize the server with Active Directory OU, the Active Directory Tool should be installed on the domain machine or should be a member of the domain.
  • Synchronization cannot be done with Default group.
  • On the Groups page, groups are shown with AD tag, which are already synchronized with Active Directory.
  • The user should have permissions of Domain Admins to synchronize with Active Directory.

Synchronizing with Active Directory

To install the Seqrite Active Directory Tool on your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click Active Directory Installer button.
  2. The Active Directory zip file is downloaded. Extract the files.
  3. Double click adinst.msi file. The Active Directory installer opens and guides you through the steps required to install Seqrite Active Directory Tool on your computer.

    Note: This system should be powered on 24X7 for periodic check in synchronization process.

  4. Follow the instructions in the wizard. Seqrite Active Directory Tool will be installed on your computer.
  5. Launch the Seqrite Active Directory Tool.
