Issue: EPS Web console page not displayed - Incorrect target path

Overview:

This issue occurs if Seqrite EPS console Internet Explorer (IE) shortcut is modified.

This article describes what steps we need to follow in order to resolve the issue.

Applicable versions: EPS 6.0 and above.

Cause of issue:
-Target path may get modified due to potentially unwanted programs, that get installed.
-If user manually changes target path.

Symptoms :

-> If the target path is incorrect, IE will not display the console web page:

-> Check Target path in Seqrite EPS console IE properties

-> To resolve this issue, we need to correct the target path.

Steps :

1) Open the console web page link Manually by using Host Name Or IP address.

For the above 7.6 version Syntax:

https://[IP address] Or [Host Name]:[SSL Port]/

Ex: https://10.10.40.37:9111/

2) Copy this URL from the address bar of IE & then Add this location to Seqrite EPS console IE shortcut properties target path.

Ex: Target path: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" https://10.10.40.37:9111/

Note: Add this URL after Double inverted comma (“) Give space then paste. Click on Apply-> Ok.

Open EPS console website with Seqrite EPS console IE shortcut.

The console web page will be opened.
