How to Export group & Policy and Import in Seqrite EPS console.

Overview:

This feature allows us to import or export the policies of Seqrite Endpoint Security. In the case of re-installation, Admin may want to take back-up of current policies to save time after installation & to avoid manual work later.

Applicable Version: EPS 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 & 7.6

Note: The policies must be exported before the uninstallation of Seqrite Endpoint Security. Importing or exporting the settings can be done in the same way.

Procedure for Exporting policies:

1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.

2. Go to Clients > Manage Policies.

3. Select the policy that is required to be exported and then click the Export button.

4. The policy settings file “acexport.db”, will be exported to the download location.


Procedure for Exporting groups:

1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.

2. Go to Clients > Manage Groups.

3. Click the Export button

4. The policy settings file “acexpgrp.db”, will be exported to the downloads location.

Procedure for Importing policies:

1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.

2. Go to Clients > Manage Policies

3. Click the Import button.

4. Select the Import Settings file “acexport.db “, from the location where it exists.

A new message appears that allows selecting whichever policies are required to be imported.

Select the policies that are required to import and then click Import.

Procedure for Importing Groups:

1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.

2. Go to Clients > Manage Groups.

3. Click the Import button.

4. Select the Import Settings file “acexpgrp.db “, from the location where it exists.

5. In this way, Groups will get imported into the Console
