Overview:
UTM can be configured to send a notification through email on triggering events related to system update, hardware status, services status, security, and usage information. Following are the details of email notifications of Mail Protection:
Applicable version: All
Antivirus: The Antivirus feature allows us to scan all outgoing/incoming mails. The mail size can be set to be allowed to scan, emails exceeding the size limit will not be scanned for virus. Configurations can be made in UTM to notify the administrator in case a virus is detected and take an action on the infected email. | ||

Anti-spam: The Seqrite UTM Anti-spam feature helps to scan the emails and check for spams. Anti-spam, when enabled, helps to set a spam protection level which helps in considering emails as Spam. | ||

Attachment Control: The Attachment control feature helps to scan the files that can be attached and sent or received in an email. The limit of the attachment size can be specified. If the attachment is greater than the specified size then the set actions will be taken. This applies for both incoming and outgoing mails. The extension type and the content type for the attachments can also be specified so that it can be allowed or blocked. The content of the file helps to determine the file type. The file extensions can be changed and therefore a mismatch between a file’s type and its extension can be treated as suspicious and blocked. | |||||
