Disable QUIC protocol In Google Chrome browser

Overview:

QUIC (Quick UDP Internet Connections, pronounced quick) is an experimental transport layer network protocol designed by Google. The overall goal is to reduce latency compared to that of TCP. Think of QUIC as being similar to TCP+TLS+HTTP/2 implemented on UDP.

QUIC is currently enabled by default in Chromium-based internet browsers and some of the sites (including Google and YouTube) offer connection via this protocol.

All versions of EPS

Error:

- In some cases, Web Protection and Parental Control / Web Control may not work correctly when support for QUIC is enabled in Google Chrome

- If you have encountered some of these functionality issues, you may try to disable QUIC support in Google Chrome manually.

Resolution Steps / Configuration Steps / Procedure:

1. Open Google Chrome

2. In the address bar, type 'Chrome://flags'. (See Figure 1):

3. Type QUIC in the search flags field. Select disable in front of the option Experiential QUIC protocol. (See Figure 2).

4. Once done, restart the Chrome Browser.
