Upgrading EPS Cloud Endpoints to the Latest Version: EPS Cloud (UEM)

Overview:
At SEQRITE with an objective of continuous improvement in mind for securing customer endpoints, we release regular upgrades to our EPS Cloud product. We highly recommend that all the endpoints being managed through the EPS Cloud be upgraded to LATEST available version as soon as possible. This upgrade to newer version will bring in improved security and feature.

Applicable Versions:
EPS Cloud Versions Upgrade supports the following versions
10.0.x, 10.1.x, 10.2.x, 10.3.x, 10.4.x, 10.5.x, 10.6.x, 10.7.x, 10.8.x

Note:
• Support of the EPS Cloud client 10.0.x, 10.1.x, 10.2.x, 10.3.x and 10.4.x versions ended by 30 September 2022 and Support of the EPS Cloud client 10.5.x and 10.6.x versions will be ending by 30 September 2023.
• If these endpoints are not upgraded manually, they will be automatically upgraded to the latest version for enhanced security and features.
• Reboot is required to install the new AV, once the reboot prompt is seen on the endpoints.

Prerequisites to check before the Upgrade:
The following Seqrite links and ports should be allowed under Gateway Firewall or Proxy Server for the smooth functioning of Seqrite EPS Cloud modules or features.

How to Upgrade?
1. Login to EPS Cloud. https://account.seqrite.com/cas/login
2. Navigate to Status Tab.
3. On the Status page, select the endpoints with older version.
4. The client action bar is enabled above the table. In the Client Actions list, select Upgrade Clients.
5. Click Submit. The action will be initiated on the client as per the set pulling interval.
6. A Reboot prompt will be shown on the endpoints. New AV will get installed only after the reboot is done.

The client will be upgraded to the latest version,10.9.

If the upgrade fails, Rollback initiates:
• Rollback will be initiated automatically if the upgrade fails.
• The product version will be shown as the current one.

How to ensure if the Seqrite upgrade has been successfully done

On Client-Side:
• Allow some time after sending the Upgrade command from the server.
• Based on the heartbeat setting, command will be received on the Endpoint.
• Once the command has been received on the endpoint, ‘upgrade download’ followed by upgrade background installation will get initiated.
• When the upgrade is completed, the Client upgraded version can be seen on the “About page” under Seqrite Endpoint Security>Help>About> Product Version.

On Server-Side:
• When the upgrade is completed, the client upgraded version can be seen on Status Tab under the “Client Version” column.

Note: If the Endpoint’s VDB date is latest; this ensures that the upgrade has been done successfully and your endpoint is protected and secured with latest features.
