Understanding various ways of Seqrite EPS Client uninstallation process.

Overview: This article will help to understand various ways of Seqrite Client uninstallation process.

Applicable Version: Endpoint Security 7.x

Applicable OS: Windows, MAC, Linux

1) Remote Uninstall:

With Remote Uninstall, you can remove Seqrite client along with the antivirus program from the computers on your network remotely.

The Remote Uninstall feature is available in the clients with Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

To remove the client through Remote Uninstall, follow these steps:

i) Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.

ii) Go to Clients > Client Deployment > Remote Uninstall.

iii) The Remote Uninstall dialog appears that displays all the groups. Each group includes the name of the endpoints belonging to the group.

iv) Select the endpoint from which you want to uninstall the Seqrite client. To uninstall Seqrite Client from all endpoints, select the check boxes available to the endpoint name columns.

You can also schedule uninstallation from endpoints that are not online or not present in the network by selecting Show offline clients. Select the Show Endpoints within subgroup to display the name of the endpoints that are in the subgroup from the list of the endpoints without actually exploring the network.

v) Select ‘Start Uninstall Notification’. The uninstallation starts.

2) From 'Programs and Features' Wizard on Windows OS:

i) Press Windows+R and in 'Run' Dialog box, type 'appwiz.cpl'.

ii) In 'Programs and Features' Wizard, select 'Seqrite Endpoint Security Client 7.6' and click on 'Uninstall/Change'
option.

iii) On Seqrite Endpoint Security Un-installation wizard, Click on ‘Yes’

iv) Enter the Seqrite Client Password and Click on ‘OK’ to start the uninstallation:

v) Click on ‘Restart Now’ once Uninstallation gets completed:

3) From Terminal in Linux OS:

i) In Terminal go to location ‘/usr/lib/Seqrite/Seqrite/’ and type command ‘sudo ./qhuninstall’.

ii) User will be asked for login password. Type the password and press Enter:

iii) User will get message whether to continue with uninstallation. Type ‘y’ and press Enter to start uninstallation process:

iv) User will get message ‘Seqrite has been uninstalled successfully’, once completed
