How to Install Secondary server (console) and Allocate License

This article describes the step-by-step process to install the secondary server (console) of Seqrite Endpoint Security (EPS) and allocate a license to the secondary server.

Applicable Version: Seqrite Endpoint Security 7.6 on-premise

Step 1: Install a secondary server
Step 2: Allocate EPS licenses to the installed secondary server

Installing secondary server

To install a secondary server, follow these steps.

1. Download and execute the setup downloader for Seqrite Endpoint Security from the URL mentioned in the Software License Certificate.
2. Execute the setup.
3. The EPS 7.6 setup wizard starts. Click Next.


4. The license agreement appears. Read the License Agreement carefully. Select both the check boxes to accept the license agreement, and then click Next.


5. In the Prerequisite window, click Install to install the required components.


6. The IIS is configured. Click Next.


7. In the Proxy Settings window, enter the Proxy details if required.
8. Click Next.


9. Provide the path of MySQL 5.6.42 setup file. Click Next.


10. In the EPS Server window, do the following.
i. Select the Secondary Server option.
ii. Enter Parent Server IP/Name.
iii. Enter Parent Server Port number.
iv. Click Verify. The Master Server details are verified.


v. The successful verification message appears. Click OK.


vi. The verification message appears. Click OK.


11. To proceed with the default installation default path, click Next.


12. After Pre-install scan is complete, click Next.



13. On the Server Information window, select the server Domain Name or IP Address of the server from the list.
14. Click Next.


15. A message appears for your verification about the Web server settings. To confirm, click Yes.


16. In the Client Installation Settings window, click Next.


17. A confirmation dialog box appears for your confirmation. Click Yes.


18. In the Authentication window, do the following.
i. In the Endpoint Security Administrator Password section, type in your password in the Password and Confirm password text boxes.
i. In the Client Password section, type in your password in the Password and Confirm password text boxes.
ii. Click Next.


19. In the MySQL Authentication window, do the following.

i. In the Username and Password text boxes, type in your MySQL user credentials.
ii. In the Confirm password text box, retype the password.
iii. Click Next.


20. Check the installation summary. Click Next.


21. A confirmation dialog box appears for your confirmation. Click OK.


22. Check the Readme file and click Next.


23. In Things to do window, click Next.


24. To complete the installation, click Finish.

EPS 7.6 secondary server is installed successfully.

Allocating EPS licenses

To allocate license to the EPS secondary server, follow these steps.
1. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console.
2. On the Home page, go to Manage Secondary Servers tab.


3. The card of the installed Secondary servers appears. Click Approve.


4. Allocate the Assigned license count as per requirement.
5. Click Submit & Approve.


6. The registration message appears. Click OK.


The Secondary server (console) is activated successfully.

7. Log on to the Seqrite Endpoint Security Web console of the Secondary Server.
8. On the Home page, click the View License link available along with the product name and details.
9. On the License Manager page, click the Status tab.


10. Verify the assigned licenses of the Secondary server.
